I did a similar tour of Argentina back in July.  I agree that the mid range Reds from Mendoza are a sharp improvement on the entry level stuff the SAQ and LCBO stock.  I did hit a couple Icon wines that merited the title, but for the most part icon simply meant heavy guage glass bottle!

What did you think of the Bonarda&#039;s?
